PHOTOSHOP Make Color Pop out of Black and White
Performed on a Mac using Photoshop CS6.
Time: 4:50You can make anything pop out beautifully from a black and white photo by using the Freeform Pen tool to draw around your object, make a selection, inverse it and desaturate it. (The image does need to be in color to begin with.)This works best with colorful images with clearly defined objects that you want to highlight. I work with a low-end Bamboo tablet which makes digital drawing much easier, but you can easily use your mouse also. Just make sure you are zoomed in so you can see the edges of your object clearly.
